VW Will Pay $14.7 BILLION for Emissions Scandal $10 Billion To Affected VW Owners

The emissions scandal with Volkswagen has resulted in a $14.7 Billion dollar class-action settlement

in which Volkswagen will pay affected owners up to $10,000 and offer to buy the vehicle back or repair the vehicle up to emissions standards, or terminate their lease. Volkswagen admitted installing a device which allowed their diesel models to cheat the emissions standards during testing and release up to 40 times the legal amount of pollutants into the atmosphere.
